How do I transfer money to another individual or small business?
Use the Interac e-Transfer service to send money to another individual or small business. Money is deposited as soon as the person you’re sending money to receives the email notice and accepts the e-Transfer. The email notice can take up to 30 minutes to be sent.
- Click on Payments & Transfers
- Select Interac e-Transfers.
- Click on Send e-Transfer.
Money must be accepted within 90 days. You will receive an email notification when the money has been collected. Money not accepted or re-deposited after 90 days will automatically be cancelled and the money returned to your account.
Interac e-Transfers must be sent from a Canadian dollar account. To see your Interac® e-Transfer daily limits, sign-in to your account and click View your daily debit card limits under “Bank Accounts” in “My Account Summary”.
