How do I pay my Property Taxes through BMO Online Banking?

  1. Select the Payments & Transfers tab.
  2. Click on Add a Payee.
  3. For Payee Province select the province associated with the bill (for example for Calgary property tax, select “AB”)
  4. Enter the Payee Name
  5. Tips:
  6. For Calgary Property Taxes, enter “Calgary” and choose “Calgary, Taxes”
  7. For Edmonton Property Taxes, enter “Edmonton” and choose “Edmonton, Taxes”
  8. For New Brunswick Property Taxes, enter “New Brunswick” and choose “New Brunswick, Taxes”
  9. For Ottawa Taxes, Enter “Ottawa” and choose “Ottawa, Taxes”
  10. For Surrey Taxes, Enter “Surrey” and choose “Surrey, Taxes” Enter your account number as it appears on your bill in the Account Number field. Use your 10-digit folio number as the account number. If your folio number ends with “X”, replace it with a “9”.
  11. Enter a Nickname that will help you remember  this payee for next time
  12. Click on Verify Payee

You will be asked to confirm the payee you want. If correct, select “Add Payee” to continue.
