What is PowerSwitch?

PowerSwitch is a free service that allows you to transfer your Pre-Authorized Payments from another financial institution to your BMO bank accounts or Credit Cards.

Making the switch is seamless and saves you the inconvenience of calling each of your billers directly. 

With PowerSwitch, you can:

  • Switch your Pre-Authorized Payments to your BMO bank account or Credit Card
  • Set up a new Pre-Authorized Payment on your Credit Card
  • Update your Pre-Authorized Payment information if your Credit Card number or expiry date have changed

To set up or switch your Pre-Authorized Payments:

  1. Click on Payments & Transfers
  2. Select Add a Pre-Authorized Payment from the left hand menu
  3. Click on Start PowerSwitch
