Ask a question

Can I use my ATM/debit card overseas?

You can access your Primary Chequing and Savings accounts outside of Canada at ATMs that display the 'Cirrus' symbol and at merchant Point of Sale (POS) machines that display the 'Maestro' symbol – as shown on the back of your BMO Debit Card.

Please note that only Canadian dollar accounts eligible for withdrawals and/or POS purchases linked to your BMO Debit Card in the Primary Chequing and Savings positions on your card are accessible through Cirrus and Maestro.

For more information about international ATM locations, please visit MasterCard Worldwide at, select a country and select ‘Find an ATM’.
